"Peñafalcón aging 20 months 2016" D.O. Ribera del Duero

Made with the red variety of the country raised on stony calcareous soils on slopes of different payments in the municipality of Peñafiel (Valladolid).

After fermentation, the wine spends 20 months in mostly second and third year American oak barrels.

It is presented in an attractive cherry red mid-layer dress with a purple trim. Fine, abundant, fast-falling tear that does not drag color.

On the nose it is frank, varietal, highlighting intense aromas of red fruit (cherry ...) and black (plum ...) well ripe on a spicy background typical of its long stay in barrel. Balsamic (licorice) and notes of minerality.

The palate is tasty, with an elegant personality, marked structure. The fruit that was perceived on the nose appears again. Noble tannin and still alive, a characteristic that, together with the good acidity it shows, will give it freshness and a long life.

A persistent wine full of life and at the same time ready to drink.
