I started my winemaking life working for a top estate in Pessac-Léognan producing predominantly red wine. 29 years on I have become passionate about Sauvignon Blanc, since first making a Sauvignon Blanc for Tony Laithwaite in 1995. This wine aims to express the true potential of the grape by taking fruit from 30 years old, low yielding vines; by hand selecting the best grapes; by truly making a handcrafted and small volume wine. I have dared to put my name on this wine as it is very close to my heart. ? Jean-Marc Sauboua
