This is a very special expression of Barossa Valley Shiraz, arguably Australian wine?s most recognisable region and varietal. This parcel was 100% basket pressed and open fermented. It spent 24 months in American oak hogsheads. Deep crimson colour with purple hues. Rich aromas of intense raspberries and plums entwined with savoury tones, sweet spice and hints of dark chocolate. This is an extremely complex full bodied wine. The texture is velvety smooth with austere tannins in balance with rich dark fruit. The powerful but balanced fruit weight flows through the palate with hints of mocha, vanilla and pepper. The luscious spicy finish lingers beautifully.
