The wine’s aroma initially evokes hints of blackcurrants and blackberries, with a backdrop of dairy. Really intense, this wine gradually reveals all facets of its aromatic personality. Flavours of cinnamon, coffee and especially violets appear little by little. Its complexity grows and finally, after about an hour, it reveals itself in its entire splendor.

On the palate, this wine is truly opulent. It features remarkable tannic concentration and yet it is very smooth. It is a structured, pleasant and mature wine. The wine’s good acidity compliments its structure, making it surprisingly fresh and delicious. It has a very long finish which allows us to distinguish all the aromatic complexity described above. A truly great wine, which will improve over the next decade.
