Very dense and dark garnet in colour. The nose is complex combining dark plum, masses of black cherry, campfire coals with a herbal hint in the background from the partial whole bunch fermentation. The pallet is textural and chocked full of concentrated dark fruits and spicey oak: this is a wine that open up considerably in the glass. Grown on sloping and steep in places with wind blown loess over clay and limestone deposists. Protected by altitude and aspects these blocks enjoy a long growing season.
